An Aged Care Volunteer Leader led initiative with the support of The Centre for Volunteering to connect and facilitate topical discussion
The Aged Care Volunteer Leader Network is an initiative led by Aged Care Volunteer Leaders, with support from The Centre for Volunteering, designed to facilitate discussions among Aged Care Volunteer Leaders, Coordinator, and Managers.
These sessions are specifically for those managing and coordinating volunteer programs within Aged Care, as the opportunities, challenges and ways of working in this sector differ from those in other volunteer involving organisations.
The network sessions will run quarterly, with each meeting focused on a specific topic.
The topic for this meeting will be reflections and learnings from National Volunteer Week.
The sessions are exclusively for Aged Care Volunteer Leaders, Coordinators and Managers.
The format will be an online Zoom meeting and will be chaired by the peak body for volunteering in NSW, The Centre for Volunteering.
After the showcase presentation, the session will be lightly facilitated and not heavily structured. We will discuss challenges and opportunities within each area, share best practices, policies, and procedures, and establish a support network for exchanging ideas.
We welcome future topic suggestions from attendees.
